Tern Systems would like to thank everyone that came to visit us at our stand at the World ATM Congress in Madrid. We had a lot of interest in our products, including our new Phraseology Trainer. We are particularly pleased with our mother company, Isavia, receiving the Jane´s Award in the Service Provision category, for an ADS-B surveillance corridor between Europe and North America. Isavia is the first ASNP to implement ADS-B separation in an international air-space. Isavia also won the Single European Sky Award by the European Commission for Borealis Free Route Airspace Project
We hope to be in touch with you again soon.
Tern Systems has won a contract to upgrade the current ATC Systems in Bali and Surabaya, Indonesia, with TAS. This contract means that there will be four International Airports in Indonesia equipped with TAS, for both approach and towers.
Juanda International Airport in Surabaya is currently the second busiest airport in Indonesia and Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali is the third busiest.
The airports will be equipped with Tern Systems latest-generation of Air Traffic Control solutions, including surveillance (radar and ADS-B) and Flight Data Processing, Safety Nets and Arrival Sequencing Tool.
The project has already started and is scheduled for completion before Q4 2016.

In February, a successful installation of a new version of the Tern ATC System (TAS) was done in the Control Tower in Keflavik and the Approach Control Center in Reykjavik for the ANSP in Iceland, Isavia. This was a large update containing an improved surveillance data processing, renewal of hardware and an OS upgrade. The update is a base for further development of the TAS system in use at Isavia, such as implementation of ADS-B, AMAN, Improved Short Term Conflict Alert, Multilateration Virtualization and Datalink.
Tern Systems will be at the World ATM Congress, held in Madrid on 8th – 10th of March this year. This year we decided to change location and you will find us at stand number 953, to the right from the main entrance. As previous years we will be there with our mother company, Isavia, the Air Navigation Service Provider in Iceland. We will be demonstrating our ATC Systems, including our TAS System and Training Simulator for Tower, APP and ACC. As always our experts, both developers and researchers from Tern as well as ATC controllers and end users from Isavia will be on hand at our stand. We look forward to seeing you there at our new spot!
