RO-FDPS, joint operations in Ireland and Iceland.

Joint operations are now performed at the ATS Communication Centers Ballygirreen, Ireland and Gannet, Iceland. This gives the radio operators the opportunity to work flights irrespective of ATC boundaries. Depending on workload in either Ireland or Iceland, radio operators can communicate with and service aircraft in either the Icelandic or Irish airspace and send messages directly to the appropriate Area Control Center.

This means that Tern Products are in use for the north atlantic airspace all the way from 43°N, the south border of Shanwick oceanic airspace, up to the north pole where the north border of Reykjavik Oceanic Airspace is.  This means that large portions of flights going between europe and USA will enter the RO-FDPS system.
